One last blog post. Feels sort of weird to be finishing up and no longer blogging my daily adventures. My 5 week program and best trip of my life is almost over. Time has flown by and I can not believe it is coming to an end in two short days. Our last day of class started out earlier than usual with a journalist from the BBC. She was an amazing women who was really inspiring. Although journalism and broadcasting isn’t something I am pursuing, the things Jean McKenzie has done through her career I plan to try to apply to mine. She started out with nearly no experience outside journalism and now can practically run the whole show. She can interview, write a script, film her own story, network and so much more. She is no different than all of our amazing speakers and followed the common theme of saying yes to everything. Each one has become so successful by taking every opportunity and differentiating themselves. Even if you don’t see yourself doing something in the future, still take the experience, you can learn from everything you do. abbey-road-studios-logo We finished earlier than usual as well, giving us the whole day to explore the city. I was able to try food from all over the world at the Borough Market and then shopping through Camden Market. The best part of my day was visiting Abbey Road Studios and walking across the street where the famous Beatles album cover was shot. It was amazing to feel like I was at the place where music made history. The day was a perfect relaxing end to my trip of a lifetime. I am so grateful to have this wonderful adventure with so many extraordinary people.
