On Wednesday I was on a fan-feckin-tastic tour of Ireland with the Shamrocker tour bus and it was truly a life changing experience. I was able to meet people from Ireland with real stories and learn about the history and why it is so important. It was “great craic” even savage crack with the tour guides we had, they were unbelievable. The first major stop of the tour was the giant’s causeway. This to me was something that I can’t physically put into words because it was so beautiful!
In media related news, we also went and visited the dark hedges which is where the Game of Thrones had done some filming! Even though I could care less about the Game of Thrones it was still cool to see where it had been filmed! I was luckily able to take a few photos and send them to my friends who are obsessed with the show! A woman who worked at the pub told me that the locals were not aloud to watch any of the filming however.
The hostile was something else…the bread was really long, the hand soap was non existent, the beds were dangerously rocky and the wifi was free because there was none…HOWEVER we were in the middle of nowhere surrounded by sheep so I’m not really sure what I was expecting.
Overall it was an experience of a lifetime 🙂
Oh and I met a drunk Irish man named Shamus who sang into my eyes for three minutes. Those were the longest minutes of my life but he was the sweetest old man.
