Onward to Dublin

As we moved on with our journey from Ballintoy, we set off to head towards Dublin. We still have quite a ways until then, but we also have many attractions to see as well. About an hour or so of the bus trip, we stopped at a place called Londonderry.  Londonderry was bigger than Ballintoy, (with only 160 people living in the town). We only stopped in Londonderry for roughly 30 minutes to grab some food. After we ate, we went on our way to a fortress in Speenoge. The fortress has been on a mountain top for more than 4,000 years. That is amazing to think about that it is still intact, and just thinking about the history that took place there was remarkable. This fortress was called “Grianan Ailigh”. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t too pleasant, so we weren’t able to get the greatest view, but the fact that it has been there for more than 4,000 years made up for it.IMG_1300.JPG As we continued our bus tour, we stopped at another tourist attraction, which were the Slieve League Cliffs, the cliffs were just stunning to the eye. The scenery that we witnessed almost didn’t seem real. Further more, after we visted the Slieve League Cliffs, we finally made it to our hostel. After a long day, it was nice to relax and just take time to catch up with our families and friends. The hostel we stayed at was great. The man that owned the hostel was very friendly, and sincere, so it made the stay that much better. Tomorrow we continue our journey to Dublin, so everyone, including myself, is looking forward to arrive there and inspect the culture, and have a great time. FullSizeRender-3.jpg
