Giant’s Causeway -Anastasia Niforos
Northern Ireland might be one of the most beautiful places I have ever traveled to. Everything I have seen in the last two days has been nothing short of absolutely amazing. Today our Shamrocker bus tour continued and our first stop was Giant’s Causeway. I didn’t know what to expect because I wasn’t very familiar with this place. Little did I know it would be in my top three for most astonishing things I have ever seen.
After riding the bus for an hour and fifteen minutes, we reached Giant’s Causeway. As we walked to the entrance to get our tickets I noticed how crowded it was. There were people everywhere. We decided to take the scenic route which was a long path that led us along the cliffs. It overlooked the ocean and it was amazing. It was my first time seeing something like this. The cliffs stretched for miles and the view was stunning. I took everything around me because I knew I would never get this moment back.
We then took a long staircase all the way down from the cliffs which led us to Giant’s Causeway. As I approached the structure I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. In front of the was an insanely unique rock formation that was formed from the volcano and glacier movement. The rocks formed into all these different shapes. The rocks closer to the water were a deep brown and black and as you got further away they were a lighter brown. I sat on the rocks and looked out into the ocean thinking about how this was in my top three for the coolest things I have ever seen.
