Quite Possibly the Best Day We’ve Had

Quite Possibly the Best Day We’ve Had- By Courtney Kellogg

Once we had gotten into Ballintoy, we were ready for a nap. We already had such an exciting day and needed rest after all of the bus traveling we had been doing. We then got ready and headed to dinner at Fullerton Arms. To give an idea of how small the town was, this restaurant was one of the two restaurants in the whole town!

We had planned on going to a traditional pub later that night, so we needed something to do to fill the time. Our tour guide had advised us to go down to Ballintoy Harbour  because of its’ beauty. Little did we know how insane the view was going to be.

It was almost like being in a movie. The harbor had a couple of boats docked but was surrounded by big cliffs and small “islands” to climb on. Everything was covered in green and filled with pink and yellow flowers. Water crashed up against the rocks and beaches as we made our way onto one of the bigger “islands” that was in the water. We wanted to stay there forever because of the view we had. Pictures just didn’t seem to do it justice!

The whole night we climbed and sat on  the green grass as we watched the sun go down. That whole night was filled with laughter and none of us wanted to move from where we were. It’s impossible to describe what we experienced at that time because of how beautiful and fun it was!

Sadly the sun went down and we made our way to the small pub in the town. A local supplied karaoke and let us sing and play with him. It was the perfect end to a great day!
