ON AIR: BBC Scotland

ON AIR: BBC Scotland-By Courtney Kellogg

Another early morning for us as we traveled to Glasgow. At around 9:30 this morning we got off our train and took a taxi to BBC Scotland.

We were welcomed with food and refreshments! They gave us an overview of what they do at BBC and showed us a video to give us more of an example of the shows that they broadcast. After the video, we were brought up to the fifth floor where we were able to see the whole building. In the middle of the building there was an area for people to work on their content. Tables, couches, and chairs were set out on each level for people to work.

We then were brought to the Studio C newsroom. It was exciting to see where all the action happened.

We were then shown one of the new installments of the building called The Social. In this area, their social media managers work on their assignments.

Our last stop was in Studio A where they film a lot of their TVs shows. It was a huge area with cameras and lights hanging from the ceiling.

It was so awesome to be able to tour the BBC and I would suggest it to whoever is in the area!
